Amber Pert is the founder of Wellspring Financial, a bookkeeping, financial advisory, and tax services company serving small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to actually understand their numbers and make confident, informed decisions with them.
Amber came to financial services by way of hospitality and event planning. She earned her degree from the University of Florida and started her career in the wedding and event world before realizing her real passion was the financial side of business. The part that keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. She went on to earn her Master of Accountancy and built Wellspring Financial around a simple but powerful belief: that small business owners deserve clarity, confidence, and a financial partner who genuinely cares about where they're going.
What makes Amber and her team different is their approach.
Wellspring Financial works with businesses that are passionate, engaged, and building something meaningful. They're not just managing numbers. They're walking alongside entrepreneurs at every stage, helping them make decisions that are grounded in real financial data and aligned with the future they're working so hard to create.
Outside of Wellspring Financial, Amber lives just outside Atlanta with her husband and three kids. You'll usually find her exploring North Georgia, cheering from the sidelines at her children's games, or planning the next family adventure. She is, in the best possible way, exactly the kind of person you want in your corner when it comes to your business finances: warm, sharp, and genuinely invested in the people she works with.
She hired me for my 3-page website copy package covering her home page, about page, and services page after Trustworkz, the agency that rebranded and built her new website, referred her to me to write the copy that would make the whole thing connect with her ideal clients.
"So grateful for Whitney's expertise, care, diligence, and insight — her support for our needs was a piece of perfection."
Amber knew her business was worth more than a website that went unnoticed.
Amber had a website before we worked together.
It looked fine, it existed, and in all the time it had been live, it had never brought in a single lead.
Not one inquiry, not one discovery call, and not one client found her through Google.
That kind of experience does something to you. It makes you hesitant to invest more time, more money, and more energy into something that hasn't worked yet. To me, honestly, that hesitation makes complete sense.
Why pour more into a website that's already let you down?
But Amber knew her business was worth more than a website that went unnoticed. She was growing, her team was expanding, and she had big goals for Wellspring Financial, including eventually adding tax services to their offerings. A website that just sat on the Internet wasn't going to get her there.
So when Trustworkz gave her a beautiful new design, she decided that this time she was going to do it right. She wasn't going to fill that beautiful new website with the same copy that had been quietly working against her.
She reached out, and we got to work.
What Amber really wanted was a website that finally did something to move the needle in her business.
She wanted copy that communicated the real heart of what Wellspring Financial does, not in dry, corporate financial language, but in a way that actually connected with the small business owners and entrepreneurs she serves. People who are passionate, hard-working, and building something meaningful, and who need a financial partner they can genuinely trust with their numbers.
She wanted to show up on Google when her dream clients went looking for bookkeeping and financial support.
She wanted the right people landing on her website and immediately feeling like they found exactly who they needed, someone who gets what it's like to wear all the hats, who cares about their vision, and who can give them the clarity and confidence to make smart decisions with their money.
More than anything, she wanted to feel proud of sending someone to her website. To know that when a potential client landed on it, they would immediately understand what Wellspring Financial does and why it matters.
That's what we were building toward.
Every project I take on starts in the same place, and it's not with writing.
Before a single word goes on the page, I go deep into strategy. I get to know the business, the ideal client, the voice, and the value in a way that most people have never been asked to articulate before. For Amber, that meant really digging into what makes Wellspring Financial different from every other bookkeeping company a small business owner might find, and finding the specific language that made someone reading it think yes, this is exactly who I need.
For Wellspring Financial, that language was rooted in partnership, clarity, and genuine investment in the client's dreams. Not just managing numbers, but helping small business owners shape the future they're working so hard to build. That distinction became the foundation from which everything else was written.
Then comes the research. Specifically, figuring out what Amber's dream clients are actually typing into Google when they're looking for the kind of financial support Wellspring Financial offers. Because the most strategic copy in the world doesn't work if Google doesn't know who to send it to. The keyword strategy and the copy have to be built together, not bolted on after the fact.
From there, I write everything laid out in a wireframe, so Amber could see exactly where every piece of copy lived on every page, and so Trustworkz had a clear, clean document to work from without any back and forth.
Once the pages went live, I submitted everything to Google Search Console so the new copy could start working right away.
Wellspring Financial's website now ranks on the first page of Google for several of the keywords we built the strategy around.
For a business that had never gotten a single lead from its website before, that's not a small thing.
But what I love most about this project isn't just the rankings. It's what's happened since. Amber and her team have continued to grow Wellspring Financial in a really meaningful way, including launching tax services, which was actually a goal Amber mentioned when we were working on the copy together. Watching that happen has been really exciting.
If you're a service-based business owner with a website that looks good but has never brought in the clients you want, this is for you.
You don't have a website problem. You have a strategy problem, and strategy problems are completely fixable.
Wellspring Financial went from a website that had never generated a single lead to a website that ranks on the first page of Google and finally reflects the real heart of what Amber and her team do every single day.
Your business deserves the same.
I only take on a limited number of website copy projects each month, and every single one gets the same level of strategy, research, and intention that went into Wellspring Financial's website.
If you're ready to finally have a website that helps you book more dream clients, I would love to make that happen for you.
